Chris Kaye
Former Director, UN World Food Programme; Chair, Cabot Institute for the Environment Advisory Board

“Given my experience of living and working in humanitarian and development work across the world, I hope to provide a truly internationalist perspective on the challenges to achieving social justice, equity for all humanity.”
Meet Chris.
Chris is a humanitarian leader working at the intersection of operational excellence and systemic accountability. After a brief career in investment banking, he transitioned to the non-profit sector in 1990, embarking on a three-decade journey with the United Nations dedicated to advancing social justice and human dignity.
Having served as a Senior Director (D2) at the World Food Programme (WFP), Chris’s career is defined by leadership in some of the world’s most challenging environments, including Pakistan, Myanmar, Afghanistan, and Southern Africa. From leading front-line responses to large-scale natural disasters to steering global fundraising and high-level negotiations with member states at WFP’s headquarters in Rome, his work has consistently bridged the gap between immediate crisis response and long-term strategic resilience.
