Public-benefit purpose and policy plan

ICH is a global platform that seeks to make humanity the foundation of progress. Its public policy plan for 2025–2029 describes collaborative spaces, humanity-centred advocacy, support for communities, opportunities for emerging leaders and safe, inclusive participation.

Its areas of operation include research and knowledge sharing; advocacy; partnership building; youth engagement and capacity building; resource mobilisation; and logistical support for locally led projects. During its development phase the plan focuses on institutional development, networks, programmes and fundraising aligned with public benefit.

The plan lists possible future income from institutional and project grants, philanthropy, commissioned research, educational activity, advisory services, voluntary contributions, public campaigns and limited mission-aligned merchandise. Listing a possible model does not mean each service is currently offered.

Expenditure may support research, dialogue, learning, partnership and youth activity, alongside reasonable legal, accounting, website and operational costs. The plan describes prudent asset management, no speculative investment, a modest operational reserve, proper financial records and regular publication of key governance information.

Its governance model assigns legal and fiduciary responsibility to the Board of Directors, strategic deliberation and representation to the Chair, guidance to advisers, and daily coordination to the Secretariat. It also describes conflict-of-interest disclosure, risk review and transfer of remaining assets to a comparable public-benefit organisation on dissolution.

Board of Directors

One person may hold more than one ICH role. The people directory describes the distinct work of the Chair, advisers and Secretariat.

Remuneration

ICH's public remuneration policy states that directors and board members are not paid for their board appointment, apart from reimbursement of reasonable expenses. The published financial overview separately records personnel costs for operational roles. Any compensation for work in another capacity should be understood separately from unpaid board service.

Financial information

The Financial Overview 2025–2026 (PDF) ↗ (opens in a new tab) was issued on 19 February 2026. It records pre-incorporation expenses and an opening balance sheet as at 24 December 2025, plus a projected 2026 budget. The forecast is not a report of funds actually raised or spent in 2026.

ICH plans to publish annual reports here as they become available.
