The work in context

Rooted in place.

Known in Spanish as Semillas de Autoliderazgo Sistémico, the concept connects confidence, creativity, environmental awareness and early STEAM learning. The proposal aims to reach 200 girls across the two cities.

The learning design includes guided work on self-knowledge, community, sustainability, circular materials and creative problem-solving. It proposes hands-on workshops and opportunities to share what participants make and learn.

The local team is developing the programme schedule and delivery arrangements.

Inside the learning design

Know yourself.
Explore your world.

Semillas de Autoliderazgo Sistémico proposes connected learning for girls aged 6–11 in Santiago and Concepción. The curriculum moves between personal confidence, ideas and practical making.

01 / 04 · Self-knowledge

Start from within.

The proposed sessions explore emotions, self-esteem, relationships, belonging and the ability to make decisions.

Personal reflection provides a foundation for participating in the wider world.

02 / 04 · Role models

See what is possible.

Women working in STEAM, sustainability and leadership are proposed as visiting role models, sharing their experiences with participants.

These encounters are intended to help girls imagine possibilities for their own learning and future.

03 / 04 · Ideas

Ask, imagine, experiment.

Play, empathy and experimentation introduce project thinking. The learning material connects creative problem-solving with sustainability and circular-economy principles.

Ideas develop through exploration, rather than a single predetermined answer.

04 / 04 · Make & observe

Bring an idea into your hands.

The practical curriculum proposes mini gardens, seed balls, reused textiles, reclaimed wood and small terrariums. Field notebooks help learners observe and record what changes.

These are proposed learning activities. Delivery arrangements and the final schedule remain with the local programme team.

A programme in development, aiming to reach 200 girls across Santiago and Concepción.
